Light Horse Show

Light Horse Show

Hall Classes are a collection of locally created crafts, preserves, baking, vegetables/fruit, flowers, photography and children's art work.

Displayed in the upstairs hall of the community center

Hall class entries can be dropped off 

Thursday Sept.10 6-8 pm or 

Friday Sept.11th 8-11am

Judging commences Friday at 1pm 

Exhibits can view from Friday Sept.11 , 6-8pm to Sat. Sept .12 9-4.

Halter Class

Exhibitors are required to carry their own liability insurance of no less than $5 million dollars.  You may be asked for proof of insurance and/or your age (must be over 18 yrs).  Please bring your documents

Parade

Heavy Horse Pull

Our Parade's theme this year is

 "From Pioneer Days to Modern Ways".


Participants will meet at Tebby Park at 10 am and then the parade starts at 10:30, making it's way to the Fairgrounds.


Rewards for all children particpating and top floats.


Yes, we are welcoming more to join us  to walk, ride or drve in our parade.  Please contact Director Jeniese Beatty at  srmasff@gmail.com

Family Activites

We've got plenty of activites for families with 'kids of all ages'  this year including;


  • New & Traditional fair games in our 'Kids Zone' run 11 am-4 pm
  • Bouncies and Bumper Cars 12-3 pm 
  • Mini train running through the Fairgrounds
  • Facepainting


  • Pioneer Skills challenges


  • Music & Squaredancing in the bandshell
  • Scales Nature Park wildlife education
  • Wood carving demonstrations

Livestock Exhibits

  

 Thanks to local farms and folk bringing their furry and feathered friends and livestock to show, there will be a variety of animals to see at the Fair this year.


For their safety and wellbeing PLEASE do not bring pet dogs to the fair.


& 'Ducky Bingo' will be returning 

Poultry, Waterfowl and Rabbit Class entries are welcome to arrive 8:30-9:30 am 

&  judging is at 10 am.

Locals Got Talent Show Sunday Sept.13, 3:00pm

New this year ! 

Located upstairs in the community center  


Creative community members will share a variety of talents, including music, dances, magic tricks, comedy & more.


To share your talent, choose a family-friendly  

1 - 5 minute act and let us know what that is by emailing srmasff@gmail.com or 

call / text Director Kara at 705-471-0272

or sign up at on Saturday the 12th by 4 pm at our Information Booth by the Pavillion or in the upstairs hall of the Community Centre.


2 Divisions - Youth/child up to 17 & Adult ( 18+)


Rewards will be available for all youth entries and cash prizes for the top 3 in each division will be decided by a combo of  3 judges' ratings and audience votes.
